Key Status/Updates:

• YP 5.0.20 is due for release
• YP 6.1 M3 is in QA
• We have removed much of the github.com usage in bitbake-selftest which is improving autobuilder connectivity issues. Some references remain, see the link below.
• There is a possibility that openssl 4.0 is causing TLS issues in git connection requests in CI. Help/insight welcome.
• There is a vblank kernel warning message causing problems in CI with the 7.2 kernel.
• Given the limited number of people working on bug fixing, the number of issues likely to be fixed in M4 is low and we are considering speeding up M4 by a few weeks, allowing more time for 6.2 M1 and for the release to be built by ELC in Prague.
• AI scrapers and bots continue to impact the infrastructure, taking huge amounts of time for our sysadmins and with a significant cost impact to the project.
• Adrian has made significant improvements to the IDE integration with devtool which have now merged, thanks!
• There are issues which are in a position where others could now help:
  • Matchbox-wm segfault/xserver restart
  • aarch64/x86-64 build host contamination/reproducibility issue - thanks for the work and fixes so far on this.

We get a lot of comments about these being hard to reproduce or work on, in both cases, these have specific well defined things which need to be done and a basic understanding of what the issue relates to, if not the actual fix.

Ways to contribute:

• We have several open issues for pseudo and limited maintainer time to work on them. • There are a large number of intermittent failures on our autobuilder, any help with investigating, reproducing or solving these issues would be welcome! https://valkyrie.yocto.io/pub/non-release/abint/
• Many recipes in openembedded-core would benefit from a new recipe maintainer. Please look at https://git.openembedded.org/openembedded-core/tree/meta/conf/distro/include/maintainers.inc and see if you can adopt any of the unassigned recipes.
