Key Status/Updates:

• YP 6.1 is due for release
• YP 6.0.4 is due for release
• YP 5.0.21 is under review
• Patches for 6.2 have started merging into master
• Reproducibility issues between different build archs is looking much better, we have remaining issues in systemtap, rust, rpm-sequoia, mesa and rpm.
• There are issues where we could accept help:
  • Matchbox-wm segfault/xserver restart
  • Remaining github.com references in bitbake-selftest
• We will update rsync to v3.5.1 on scarthgap & wrynose. This is an exception to the usual process as the backported CVE patches were not reviewable or maintainable.
• Big thanks to Tim Orling for key fixes for layerindex and error reporting
• Builds are now working on Fedora 45 thanks to a pseudo fix and fetcher tweaks for wget v2
• UK and European daylight savings time finishes this Sunday, some meeting times track US Pacific timezone so double check your calendars next week.
• The CFP is now open for the OpenEmbedded Workshop to be held in Brussels on Feb 1st 2027.
• Thanks to everyone who attended the Dev Day or came and saw us in Prague. This was the largest Yocto Dev Day so far!

Ways to contribute:

• We have several open issues for pseudo and limited maintainer time to work on them. • There are a large number of intermittent failures on our autobuilder, any help with investigating, reproducing or solving these issues would be welcome! https://valkyrie.yocto.io/pub/non-release/abint/
• Many recipes in openembedded-core would benefit from a new recipe maintainer. Please look at https://git.openembedded.org/openembedded-core/tree/meta/conf/distro/include/maintainers.inc and see if you can adopt any of the unassigned recipes.
