*Patches merged to switch pseudo from a directory exclusion list to a directory inclusion list. This change has long been requested but is now working and merged.
*Patches for master are merging and the builds are looking greener, there is a problem with the test result regression reports still causing failures as well as some check-layer issues.
*The clang merge caused significant build time increases (nearly double) as well as image size increases, all of which we need analysis to try and mitigate if possible.
*We have isolated the Fedora43 workers until we can root cause the binary problems it was causing when the sstate was shared to older systems
*Qemu changes upstream mean running it on 32 bit hosts may soon not be possible. 64 bit emulation on 32 bit hosts has already been dropped.
*Further bitbake-setup changes under discussion for the new development cycle:
*Network access outside of do_fetch now causes yocto-check-layer to fail which is a new change/requirement for Yocto Compatible v3. We need to work out how to handle this for go recipes in particular in meta-openembedded

Key Status/Updates:

  • YP 5.3 was released, thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!
  • YP 4.0.32 is in QA
  • The project will be taking a break from our regular meetings from 24th December until 4th January for the holidays.
  • Patches for master are merging and the builds are looking greener, there is a problem with the test result regression reports still causing failures as well as some check-layer issues.
