*YP 4.3 M1 is due to build this week
*YP 5.3 M3 and 5.0.13 currently in QA.
*The remaining issue with SPDX manifest generation on the autobuilder should have been identified and fixed so we plan to enable the create_spdx class by default in poky assuming a successful test build.
*YP 5.2.4 has been released
*The recent 6.1 kernel stable updates appear to be causing a couple of different intermittent autobuilder issues. We’re working to try and get to the bottom of that, we’re hoping further updates to the 6.1 series may pull in fixes for the regressions.
*We’re at feature freeze for YP 5.3. Patches that will be accepted now have a higher bar until after we branch master from whinlatter.  Known issues:
*Patch merging has been slow this week as we struggled to bisect failures down to the problematic commits (potentially the sqlite version bump).
**check-layer tests are now running under nodistro instead of poky, so some layers are failing as they assume some DISTRO_FEATURES are enabled.
*We continue to see problematic intermittent failures on the autobuilder. We’re struggling to make progress against these and they are feeling overwhelming. We’re open to ideas on how we might try and address them. Experience shows that if left unresolved/ignored, people do end up hitting them in real world usage or during testing of their own products.
**Toaster is broken with bitbake-setup (#16012). Help moving to supporting non-poky layouts would be good if anyone is using Toaster.
*There are a number of patches still queued in master-next as it is unclear whether they’re ready for various reasons. For bandwidth reasons these will likely be deferred to M2, people are just stretched too thinly to do otherwise, frustrating as it is.
**The patch/cve metrics jobs need reviewing to be sure they’re correct with bitbake-setup (#16013)

**The build performance jobs don’t know that poky and oe-core are the same so the charts are currently wrong (#16014)

*Rust now reuses the same LLVM as Clang, and the rust-llvm recipe has been deleted. Many thanks to Deepesh and others at Wind River!. There’s a known regression building rust with clang which is being investigated.
*Upstream kernel just end-of-life’d 6.16 but whinlatter will ship with 6.16. It’s probably too late to upgrade to 6.17 for the release, we’ll have to see as to whether we upgrade post-release.

Key Status/Updates:

  • YP 5.3 M3 and 5.0.13 currently in QA.
  • YP 5.2.4 has been released
  • We’re at feature freeze for YP 5.3. Patches that will be accepted now have a higher bar until after we branch master from whinlatter. Known issues:
