We get a lot of comments about these being hard to reproduce or work on, in both cases, these have specific well defined things which need to be done and a basic understanding of what the issue relates to, if not the actual fix.
**dbus configuration security fix
*Remaining intermittent build failures of concern:
**bitbake hashserve improvements to better position future server capability/functionality
**other qemu ‘hang’ type issues on ARM
**tweaks to support recipe locale support
**sometimes yocto-check-layer is showing checksum mismatch issues
**support for BB_LOADFACTOR_MAX load regulation in bitbake when psi is unavailable.
**intermittent ptest failures in many recipes
**further IDE integration tweaks and improvements
*Progress was made on some of the risc-v speed differences in qemu which should help some of the autobuilder intermittent failures, thanks Trevor!
*There are also several concerning issues without any clear resolution path at present:
**rust upgrade blocked by reproducibility issues
**musl upgrade blocked by large number of unsubmitted pending patches
**nativesdk-systemd usage broken by usrmerge requirement (we can’t changing the SDK layout now)
**go isn't upgraded (although there now are partial patches)
*There have been questions about official RISC-V support in this next release, especially since it is an LTS. We will trial qemuriscv64 support in M3 but remove it before the final LTS release as there is no sponsor for that support.

These components include: patchtest, layerindex, devtool, toaster, wic, oeqa, autobuilder, CROPs containers, pseudo and more. Many have open bugs. Key Status/Updates:

We get a lot of comments about these being hard to reproduce or work on, in both cases, these have specific well defined things which need to be done and a basic understanding of what the issue relates to, if not the actual fix.

  • Remaining intermittent build failures of concern:
    • other qemu ‘hang’ type issues on ARM
    • sometimes yocto-check-layer is showing checksum mismatch issues
    • intermittent ptest failures in many recipes
  • Progress was made on some of the risc-v speed differences in qemu which should help some of the autobuilder intermittent failures, thanks Trevor!
