'''Key Status/Updates:'''<br/>
*YP 4.1.3 was released
*Richard Purdie is on holiday this week. For any urgent questions please contact Ross Burton who is covering.
*YP 3.1.24 has passed QA and is being reviewed for release
*Last week was the Open Source Summit and Yocto Project Developer Day. Many thanks to Josef, Megan, and Philip for arranging this event which was well attended and was great to attend (RB)
*We are continuing to prepare for final release of 4.2 with the build now due in ~1.5 weeks
*YP 5.1 rc1 (final release) has passed QA, the final work item is updating the documentation. Help to write and review release notes and migration guides is greatly appreciated.
*We’re happy to see a huge improvement in the reliability of the python ptests thanks to a dedicated pytest plugin to correctly format the output into a form we can parse, thanks Ross!
*master and styhead have now diverged, so be aware of this if you’re tracking git branches.
*Work on making “poky-bleeding” operational again has highlighted some challenges around AUTOREV support. There are patches pending to bitbake (in -next) to highlight  problematic situations users may end up in, wider testing of those patches by AUTOREV users would be helpful.
*Migration to the new autobuilder has been postponed by a month to October, due to scaling issues and problems related to NFS and Ubuntu 24.04.  https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15596 has further details if anyone has insight into new coreutils plus NFS access control lists. Everyone who has the authority to trigger builds is encouraged to use the new cluster to stress test it.
*CVE levels in the LTS releases are at higher levels than they have been for a while which is a concern.
*There are YP 5.2 proposed milestone dates https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TDrD9nFjosvLHa7EfL_Y1-1slK7u5Am6NZV6QRF2P6s/edit - please review and let us know if there are any concerns.
*We have a growing number of bugs in bugzilla, any help with them is appreciated.
*There is discussion around configuration file markup/syntax related to fragment management on the architecture list, targeting 5.2.

*As people are likely aware, the project has a number of components which are either unmaintained, or have people with little to no time trying to keep them alive. These components include: patchtest, layerindex, devtool, toaster, wic, oeqa, autobuilder, CROPs containers, pseudo and more. Many have open bugs. Help is welcome in trying to better look after these components!

*There is an issue open upstream with the openssl project related to making path relocation of openssl easier (as used in our buildtools tarball and SDK). We’d love assistance in moving this forward and getting some kind of upstream feature merged to make this easier: https://github.com/openssl/openssl/pull/19260

*We’d welcome new maintainers for recipes in OE-Core. Please see the list at: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit.cgi/poky/tree/meta/conf/distro/include/maintainers.inc and discuss with the existing maintainer, or ask on the OE-Core mailing list. We will likely move a chunk of these to “Unassigned” soon to help facilitate this.
