*We are now at feature freeze and working on bug fixing for the final 5.1 release builds
*We are now in feature freeze for 4.2. We are continuing to merge some version upgrades where the stability of the release is unlikely to be affected.
*Due to timing of autobuilder infrastructure changes, vacations, no release blocking bugs and also seemingly limited availability of people to help with general bug fixing, we are considering an early M4 build, maybe even this week. If that would cause problems for anyone, please let Richard/the TSC know ASAP.

*Support for TCLIBCAPPEND was dropped.
*There is a bugfix for bitbake’s XMLRPC server mode but the lack of bug reports raise a concern about how widely it is being used.

*There are a number of ptest related issues (mostly test naming) which the new regression reports are highlighting. If anyone is interested in helping clean up and improve the ptests and toolchain tests, please let us know.
*The new autobuilder infrastructure is showing a number of challenges including some new bugs, new intermittent issues, challenges with new distros and a new reproducibility issue but we’re working through them
*CVE levels in the LTS releases are at higher levels than they have been for a while which is a concern.

Key Status/Updates:

  • YP 5.1 M3 is due to be released
  • YP 4.0.21 is in QA
  • We are now at feature freeze and working on bug fixing for the final 5.1 release builds
  • Due to timing of autobuilder infrastructure changes, vacations, no release blocking bugs and also seemingly limited availability of people to help with general bug fixing, we are considering an early M4 build, maybe even this week.
