Here are some ideas for future GUI developments for BitBake:

  • kernel config UI - UI tooling for simply enabling KConfig options without resorting to the "hacky" way. Needs research and communication with Kernel team.
  • BitBake config editor - build on the oetypes stuff to enable a UI which can edit arbitrary BitBake configuration variables.
  • image writing - graphical tool to take output of BitBake run and do the right thing to put it on some media for use. Specifically the crazy stuff to get atom images on a usb stick.
  • Filter columns on desired value i.e: select desired license and only see recipes which match that
