Jacques Richer is an electrical design engineer who specializes in deeply embedded systems and radio frequency applications. His background includes specialty training in computer security and encryption, including audit considerations for PII. His design work has included extensive work with both Microchip PIC and ARM Cortex M series microcontrollers – including mixed signal work with Cypress PSoC devices, USB firmware, driver and software development.

Jacques work has straddled the line between digital design and firmware implementation – allowing him to reduce total system complexity by carefully drawing the boundaries between disparate domains. Recent projects have included a distributed multiprocessing mixed signal controller for educational robotics, an RFID system for product tracking, and an embedded bus system for Bluetooth low energy integration over a wide area in a security context.

He currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife and two cats. When not pushing keys or breathing solder smoke, he enjoys modernist cooking, photography and amateur radio.
